As part of the Scrivens Optical Group, The Hearing Company have provided audiological services to the NHS for a number of years (this is as well as the eyecare and diabetic retinal screening services to the NHS and PCTs). We also provide hearing care for over 150 independent retail opticians and a number of community health centres. With this experience and expertise, The Hearing Company can provide high quality audiology services for the NHS, giving exceptional patient care well within the 18 week target (in fact we are happy to report an average of just 6 weeks).
With our widespread network of branches, we are ideally situated to see NHS patients locally. We can also offer appointments on a variety of days and times, ensuring that appointment waiting times will be kept to a minimum.

In providing hearing aids for the NHS, we are able to combine the latest digital technology with very competitive pricing to ensure that patients have the best possible solution for their hearing.
We supply all four elements of the audiology service: initial assessment, fitting, the hearing aid itself and one follow-up appointment, all within the agreed NHS tariff.
The quality of the hearing aid is obviously very important, but so is the aftercare service if patients are to get the maximum ongoing benefit from their hearing aids. As an additional option, The Hearing Company can offer a comprehensive aftercare service for three years following the fitting of the hearing aid. All our dispensing staff are qualified hearing aid dispensers, who are required to complete CET modules on an annual basis, and we comply with all regulations relating to the dispensing of hearing aid instruments.
Our staff also regularly attend product knowledge training to ensure that they know about the latest developments in hearing aid technology and put them into practice.
